Main Irish language organisation in Cork

About Us

Cork's main Irish language organisation

Gael-Taca is Cork's main Irish language organisation. We have a wide range of duties, ranging from our Business Award, Gradam Uí Chuanacháin, to our work with schools and local Irish groups. We also work with our members and the public in general.

Our centre is located on Sullivan’s Quay, Cork, where you will find a café, a book shop, and an information centre about Irish-language events / resources in Cork and nationwide.

As a voluntary organisation, our members are essential to the work we do and, if you would like to join, feel free to call into our centre or email us at eolas@gaeltaca.ie.

We have connections with Irish groups in Cork; an Chuallacht, Óró, Gaeilgóirí, just to name a few. We are guided by our members, those who support us and keep us going.
